Occupational therapy (OT) supports children, young people and adults to develop the skills needed to take part in everyday activities, including participation at work and at school, self-care, play, physical and cognitive development and emotional regulation.

OT can support adult and children with difficulties related to sensory processing, motor skills, coordination, handwriting, attention, organisation, emotional regulation, fatigue, and independence in daily activities.
Support is always individualised and focused on functional outcomes.

Once an assessment date has been agreed, parents are usually asked to contact the school to request permission for an OT visit. I will then liaise with the school to arrange a suitable day and time for the session to take place.
A 50% deposit is required prior to the first appointment.
Adult intervention is arranged directly with the client, unless alternative arrangements are requested.
A written report is provided within 10 working days of the assessment.

Paediatric assessments take place at home or at school. On occasions it is necessary to see the child in both settings. Treatment sessions are usually carried out at school, during the school day.
Limited availability is also offered for home-based sessions after school and during school holidays.
Adult therapy typically takes place in the home environment or in the local community.
Remote (online) sessions may be offered where appropriate.
